The graduate student attacker from Clarkston, Mich., propelled the Wildcats to conference regular season and tournament titles en route to the national title game, earning her third IWLCA All-America honor. The NCAA’s all-time leading goal scorer and first pick in the Athletes Unlimited draft is the sixth back-to-back Tewaaraton winner and Northwestern’s seventh overall.

Pat Kavanagh, Notre Dame, Attackman
A three-time Tewaaraton finalist, Kavanagh was the catalyst for Notre Dame’s top-ranked offense with 49 assists. The Rockville Centre, N.Y., native is a four-time USILA All-American, 2024 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, and the No. 6 Premier Lacrosse League Draft pick. As a graduate student, Kavanagh ranked second on the team in points and fourth in goals, recording at least three points in every game. He set program records for career points and assists and led the Irish to their second consecutive national championship en route to all-tournament team honors. Kavanagh is Notre Dame’s first Tewaaraton winner.

The Trophy
The Tewaaraton Trophy, designed by renowned sculptor Frederick Kail, features a Mohawk lacrosse player and captures the dynamic spirit of the sport. Standing 12 inches tall, the figure is cast in patinaed bronze and adorned with a loincloth and golden eagle feather. Mounted on a hexagonal base of black granite and exotic Cocobolo wood, the base symbolizes the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy, while the stick is a replica of a pre-1845 Cayuga stick. To ensure historical accuracy, Kail consulted with Native American lacrosse historian Thomas Vennum.
Original castings of the trophy are part of the permanent collections at the University Club of Washington, DC, and the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in Baltimore, Maryland. Bronze replicas are awarded annually to the top male and female collegiate lacrosse players in the United States.
