Celebrating the Legends, Traditions, and Future of Lacrosse with the Inaugural Episode with
two-time Tewaaraton winner Charlotte North.
WASHINGTON, DC - The Tewaaraton Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its
inaugural podcast, Behind the Trophy, a dynamic new series dedicated to the legends, traditions, and future of the sport of lacrosse. Each episode of Behind the Trophy brings listeners exciting conversations with a diverse array of guests, including former Tewaaraton Award winners, lacrosse legends, influential figures in the sport, and Native American leaders. These episodes will take a deep dive into their personal journeys to achieve the highest level of success in the sport in winning the Tewaaraton, their career-defining moments, the wisdom they’ve gained along the way, and lessons in the sport’s Native origins.
The podcast also explores what’s next for lacrosse by featuring discussions about the top
contenders for the current year’s Tewaaraton Award, the sport’s trending issues, and a wealth of insights that will inspire players. Behind the Trophy celebrates the growing sport of lacrosse while honoring the game’s deep Native American roots and traditions, integrating these values into every conversation.
