“I am truly excited to join the Tewaaraton Foundation Board of Directors. Lacrosse has been an integral part of my life and my family’s, and it’s an honor to give back to a game that has given so much to me. I look forward to working with the Tewaaraton team to continue to elevate the visibility of lacrosse and the incredible athletes who represent our sport,” said Brad Raymond.
“Brad is a highly respected leader in the investment banking industry and instrumental to the firm’s incredible growth and performance. About The Tewaaraton Foundation
The Tewaaraton Award presented by Stifel, is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. Founded at the University Club of Washington, D.C., the award was first presented in 2001 with permission from the Mohawk Nation Council of Elders. “Tewaaraton” is the Mohawk word for lacrosse, and for 25 years The Tewaaraton Award has symbolized lacrosse’s Native American heritage. The Tewaaraton Foundation ensures the integrity of the selection process and advances the mission of the Foundation by focusing on cultural awareness and by presenting annual scholarships to students from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy – the Mohawk, Cayuga, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Nations.
