WASHINGTON – The Tewaaraton Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of

Founder and CEO of McKenna & Associates, Andrew McKenna, to its board of directors.

In 2025, the Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel will be in its 25th year of recognizing outstanding college lacrosse players and celebrating the games of Native American heritage. The Tewaaraton Award is the preeminent award of one of the fastest growing sports in the US and

the world, highlighted by its inclusion in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Mr. McKenna has worked at the intersection of public policy, politics, philanthropy, and capital markets for over 20 years. Since founding McKenna & Associates, a strategic advisory and investment firm he created in 2004, Mr. McKenna has worked on mergers and acquisition mandates totaling over $100 billion and advised numerous Fortune 500 companies. Mr. McKenna served in President George W. Bush’s administration at the U.S. Department of Agriculture after playing in instrumental role in Bush’s 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns. An experienced commercial pilot, Mr. McKenna spent five years flying alongside the active-duty Air Force’s demonstration teams and is a longtime financial supporter of both the Air Force Association and the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.

“It is an honor to join the legacy and heritage of the Tewaaraton Board. I look forward to

working alongside such a dynamic and diverse board in support of the finest men’s and women’s college lacrosse players,” said McKenna, who played lacrosse at the University of Lynchburg.

“Andrew has been a leader in every avenue of his career in politics, business, and philanthropy,” said Jeffrey Harvey, Chairman of the Board. “He has stayed close to the game of lacrosse as a loyal alumnus to Lynchburg, and as an active member of the lacrosse community at all levels, including the Premier Lacrosse League. He is a seasoned executive and board member who will bring urgency and action to our board.”
